Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
I've tried to pay some SSP to an employee, but the system isn't calculating anything, and shows 'Not enough data to calculate SSP'?
Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
How do I stop the system recovering SMP from an employee?
SSP
I've tried to pay some SSP to an employee, but the system isn't calculating anything, and shows 'Not enough data to calculate SSP'?
This usually means that there isn't enough data in the history file from which the system can calculate the correct SSP. You need at least eight weeks data to calculate the average weekly wage, so this usually happens with employees who are recent joiners, or with new users of the system.
To work around this problem, you can calculate the correct SSP yourself and enter it as an override. Enter a 'Y' in the Override field, an 'S' in the SSP Band, and then press Enter.
SMP
How do I stop the system recovering SMP from an employee?
On the Maintenance Menu, select Parameter Maintenance and then choose Company Parameters. On the Company Parameters screen, set the SMP Recovery flag to 'N'.
